- I can see your problem a mile away... IDE is not buffered therefore you can
- only have a short cable... Your 1m cable is probably losing data like a
- leaking pipe.

- Like I said it's probably losing a lot of data... And probably the CD-ROM
- is taking a while to warm up...

- I don't think it's either... U may also want to get Atapi.device from
- somewhere... It allows connection of ATAPI CD-ROMS which may have been
- one of the causes of your problems...

- Why not get the SCSI interface for the blizzard and get a scsi cd?
- It's buffered so you can have your leads up to 4m long...
